Did you know in a 100 gram comparison whole soybeans vs beef that….
Soybeans contains 36.5 grams of protein with only 2.8gm saturated fat, 121% of your daily iron, 28% daily calcium, 6% daily vitamin C
With double the amount of energy than beef. It’s almost superior in every way
Beef contains 26gm protien with 5.9gm saturated fats (bad fat), only 20% of your daily iron, only 2% of your calcium & NO vitamin C
So if even if you were to excessively eat a 300gm steak every day, you would only get 60% of your iron needs and a lousy 6% of your calcium & more than twice the amount of saturated (bad) fats
But if you were to eat just 2/3 of a can of soybeans you would have 163% of your iron needs & almost all of your daily calcium needs & more protein than the steak…. Oh and it’s cheaper!!
The “Beef is the best source of protein & iron advertising” is a myth
I don’t understand why people would try to buy environmentally friendly products and power yet continue to inefficiently grow soybeans & other nutricious grains to feed to cows so they can kill the cows and eat their flesh to get less nutrition. It’s a total excess of transport, energy, water & suffering. It’s like living your life as some weird sadistic Rube Goldberg machine
