Peace Day September 21
I would like to call upon all reasonable & intelligent humans to observe Peace Day & to display, promote & embody the qualities that we as humans can. Empathy, Compasion, Understanding or at the very least Mercy.
People say peace will never come, it’s too complicated. But I think it’s simple. We all have the ability to keep our anger at bay & put down our weapons for a day, the only thing left to do is extend that to a week, a month, a year, a lifetime.
People say that the problem is to large scale & that wars will never end. But it starts with you, the individual, wanting it & making it happen
To succeed as an evolved human, all that one needs to do is breath clean air, drink clean water, eat nourishing food, shelter from the elements, seek companionship, care for the elderly, infirm or sick & dispose of our waste efficiently. All else is superfluous.
You will only need 3 tools to do this
- Compassion
- Understanding / Mindfulness
- Action
Don’t just pat yourself on the back for not doing something bad on peace day. Do something proactive that promotes peace. Help people to achieve the above if you have the means or an abundance of any. Reach out to those who may not understand that peace is easier & more productive than fighting. Some people have not know any other way. If your eyes have been opened to the possibilities of peace then it’s your responsibility to show others what you can see, so we all may find it
PLEASE REMEMBER. Contrary to what governments, leaders & individuals may ask of you. You can’t fight for freedom as freedom only comes in the absence of fighting
Along with being designated by the UN as the International Day of Peace, September 21 is also a day of Global Ceasefire. By acknowledging a unified day without violence, a Global Ceasefire can provide hope for citizens who must endure war and conflict; it proves that worldwide peace is possible. A cessation of hostilities for 24 hours can also enable relief workers to reach civilians in need with food, water, and medical supplies.
