Way disappointed

That to light the Olympic flame they didnt get an ancient chinese cannon filled with fireworks & shoot a flaming panda into a gigantic wok of garlic oil or black bean sauce. That was such a missed opportunity!!! Instead they had a big scroll & a man hanging from a rope pretending to run + 2008 hippies banging out doof music on their drums with glow sticks. Is it the olympics or a summer rave??

The world associates China with red & gold colours yet they cleverly decided to do all the signage & stadiums in blue. How ever so corporate & not a single Panda!!! It’s like they’re going out of their way to give us the most un-Chinese experience they can possibly deliver. China has so much more character than they shared with us & I want to see it.
